Qi Therapy

Qi Therapy includes several hands on body work modalities that are based in work with the body energy. These include: Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Cranial Sacral, trigger point and myo facial release.

Polarity Therapy, a hand’s on, energy based bodywork modality is a form of Qi therapy. It works with the the body's vital Life Energy, the Qi, Prana and is done on a clothed body. Our Vital Life Energy is affected by touch, movement, diet, sound, laughter, relationship, trauma/stress, emotions, etc., and expresses itself in all parts of life, on the physical, mental and emotional levels. Illness, stress, improper diet and lifestyle create imbalances and blocks in the flow of the Qi. Through a Qi Therapy session these imbalances and blocks that prevent the Vital Life Energy from moving freely through out the body are released, which sets the stage for better health. Polarity Therapy like Acupuncture, another energy based modality works well as an adjunct to herbal therapies to relieve stresses and imbalances that are created by illness. Polarity Therapy is an excellent choice for individuals who have an anversion to needles.

WHAT CAN Qi THERAPY DO FOR YOU?

You are likely to feel deeply relaxed and revitalized after a session. Qi Therapy can give relief from specific problematic health situations both on the physical and emotional levels, because the effects go very deeply. This includes problems with tight and painful muscles to problems with stress, insomnia, headaches, etc.

WHERE DO THE THERAPIES COME FROM?

Polarity Therapy was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, DO, DC, ND (Chiropractor, Osteopath and Naturopath) (1890-1981). Dr. Stone studied Ayurvedic Medicine and Chinese Medicine extensively. He based Polarity Therapy mainly in the Ayurvedic tradition and its underlying principles of pulsation of energy; neutral, positive and negative, as formulated by the ancient masters from India. Bodil has been a certified Polarity Therapist since 1996.
